TARPAULIN + PAPEL
What is Tarpapel?
In the Philippines, tarpapel is a paper alternative to a printed tarpaulin: one design spread across several sheets of paper, then joined into a larger display. The name brings together “tarpaulin” and “papel,” the Filipino word for paper.
A tarpapel maker prepares those sheets from your image. Use the printer you already have for lesson visuals, party greetings and school celebrations. Paper works best for indoor displays; it needs protection from moisture.

Finished sizes shown in cm for portrait sheets, 5 mm margins and 5 mm overlap. These are reference sizes, not your current settings. Image upload may switch the paper orientation; check the maker for your actual finished dimensions.
Print one test sheet first. Use Actual size / 100%, keep the default 5 mm margins and overlap as a starting point, and check for clipping. Trim the margins at the crop marks, line up the repeated artwork, then tape the back or mount on cartolina.

Tarpapel maker FAQ
A few helpful answers about your design, your phone and the paper in your printer.
01Is this tarpapel maker online free?
Yes. Creating a tarpapel and downloading the PDF are free, with no account or watermark. You still supply your own paper and ink, or pay a shop to print the PDF.
02Can I use the tarpapel maker on phone?
Yes. Open this page in a modern phone browser, choose a JPG, PNG or WebP from your files or gallery, select the paper and sheet count, then download the PDF. Print with your printer’s supported app or send the PDF to a computer or print shop. No maker app installation is needed.
03Can I use a design from Canva, Word or PowerPoint?
Yes. Export your finished design as a high-resolution PNG or JPG first, then select that image here. This tool prepares the sheets for printing; add text, photos and decorations in your design app before exporting. Direct PDF, Word and PowerPoint file imports are not supported.
04Which bond paper should I choose for tarpapel?
Choose the size already in your printer: short bond is 8.5 × 11 inches, long bond is 8.5 × 13 inches, and A4 is 210 × 297 mm. Long bond and US Legal are different sizes. Match the maker, printer settings and physical paper, and check that your printer supports your chosen size.
05Can I customize the grid, and how many pages can I make?
Yes. After selecting an image, choose Custom under Page layout. Set 1–6 columns and 1–6 rows, up to 36 sheets. A 3 × 3 grid uses nine sheets. Check the finished dimensions in the preview before downloading.
06Why do my tarpapel sheets not line up?
Print at Actual size / 100%, with one PDF page per sheet and the same paper size selected in the maker. Turn off Fit to page and additional enlargement. The PDF is already split into sheets, so do not apply Poster or Tile printing again. Trim the white margins at the crop marks, align the repeated artwork in the overlap strips, then tape the back.
07Are my photos sent to a server?
The maker processes your selected image and generates the PDF in your browser. It does not upload your image to a server. JPG, PNG and WebP files up to 20 MB are accepted; very large images may exceed the device’s available memory.
